Oil Exploration

The Kilohop self-organizing network communication system features long-distance communication, high speed, and multi-hop relay capabilities, making it highly suitable for areas without signal coverage such as deserts and gobi regions. In the oil industry, the working environment is remote and the work sites are constantly advancing. Wireless self-organizing network technology can be flexibly deployed to avoid the high cost of laying optical fibers. Through MESH nodes, temporary communication networks can be established at locations such as oil wells, camps, warehouses, and command centers for uploading operation data, loading two-way video and audio services. For nodes that are far apart or blocked by sand dunes, data can be relayed through MESH relays.

Under conditions of open visibility, the single-hop transmission distance between MESH nodes on the tower of Kilohop can reach 10 kilometers, and the communication rate can reach 8 Mbps. A subnet can accommodate a maximum of 20 nodes, and more node networking can be achieved by using the subnet stacking method. This mobile vehicle-mounted node can patrol and roam in the mesh network at a speed of 120 kilometers per hour. The system will automatically adjust the network topology structure and connect with the nearest MESH node to improve the quality of the communication link.

The Kilohop wireless broadband ad hoc communication system features security, convenience and mobility. It can also be applied to other scenarios where communication conditions are poor, such as in remote mountains, deserts and border areas.
