Vehicle Fleet COMM
The Kilohop vehicle-based ad hoc network radio has the features of high power, long distance and large bandwidth. By using the vehicle-based ad hoc network radio, vehicles such as command vehicles can quickly establish a network within one minute after being powered on, without the need for complex configuration and operation. This can greatly improve the efficiency of on-site dispatching. The entire ad hoc wireless communication system can support up to 20 network nodes. It has no central control, self-organization and self-repairing characteristics. The absence or damage of any node will not affect the operation of the entire network. At the task site, multiple vehicles are equipped with MESH network stations, which can quickly form a dedicated network. The video, audio, radar, location, sensor and other data from the site can be transmitted back to the command vehicle through the dedicated network station, and internal communication can be realized through the dedicated network.

During the vehicle's journey, multiple vehicles are arranged in a chain formation. When the vehicle group travels on winding mountain roads, due to the limitations of the terrain and the obstructive environment, direct communication between individual jump nodes may not be possible. The on-board ad hoc network radio can connect to the command vehicle through multiple hops via any connectable nodes. In applications involving extremely long vehicle groups, dual-frequency ad hoc network nodes can be selected, which will further reduce the loss of multiple hops and improve the communication quality of the network.

The Kilohop wireless broadband ad hoc communication system features security, convenience and mobility. It can also be applied to other scenarios where communication conditions are poor, such as in remote mountains, deserts and border areas.
